Xande by user8631462

Format: Commander

Commander: Xande, Dark Mage

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir voltron strategy helmed by Xande, Dark Mage, who grows in power from each noncreature, nonland card in your graveyard. The primary game plan is to suit Xande with a dense equipment suite (14 pieces) that grants shroud, hexproof, indestructibility, and unblockability, then grind out commander damage over multiple turns. A secondary reanimation angle (Zombify, Shipwreck Dowser) can bring back big threats like Wrexial, the Risen Deep or Arcanis the Omnipotent for value. The deck leans heavily on the commander as its sole efficient voltron threat, making it slow and vulnerable to graveyard hate and commander removal.
