Deck overview

This deck is a themed Boros aggro strategy built around Bruse Tarl, Roving Rancher and the Ox creature type. The game plan focuses on casting efficient early Changelings and Oxen, deploying the commander on Turn 4 to grant them passive double strike, and compounding battlefield power with static anthems like Warleader's Call and Cathars' Crusade. The commander's enter-the-battlefield and attack triggers supply consistent card advantage by exiling playable cards or making 2/2 Ox tokens when hitting lands. The deck disrupts opposing threats using premium low-cost removal such as Swords to Plowshares and Chaos Warp, while using Boros Charm and Unbreakable Formation to shield its board against destruction. Lacking infinite combos or stax locks, the deck closes the game by dealing heavy combat damage across sequential attack steps, aiming to eliminate the entire table by Turn 8 through overwhelming double-strike pressure.
