Deck overview

This Gruul midrange deck is built around Aerid Konstrari, turning artifact token generation into explosive mana ramp, direct damage, and overwhelming combat steps. In the early game, cheap ramp spells accelerate the commander onto the battlefield by Turn 3 to generate Heartwood tokens. The mid-game capitalizes on temporary clone spells like Molten Duplication and Twinflame, which abuse the legend rule to trigger both enters and dies abilities on legendary creatures, rapidly multiplying artifact counts. Direct damage pingers such as Ingenious Artillerist and Reckless Fireweaver soften opposing life totals as tokens flood the battlefield. By Turn 5, high-impact finishers like Craterclaw Colossus, Depthshaker Titan, Displaced Dinosaurs, and Draconic Visitor convert the wide artifact board into massive flying, trampling beaters that eliminate the entire table across one to two combat phases.
