Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos combat-control and group slug strategy commanded by Kardur, Doomscourge. Rather than racing to combo or assembling fast commander damage, the deck leverages Kardur's enter-the-battlefield ability to force opponents to attack one another each turn cycle. This protects your life total while steadily whittling down enemy boards and health. The supporting 99 features a blend of group slug punishers, rattlesnakes, and board control spells such as Kaervek the Merciless, Archfiend of Depravity, and Dictate of the Twin Gods. Card advantage is maintained through efficient black draw spells and symmetrical draw-punish effects. While resilient against aggressive creature decks due to its forced combat and board wipes, the deck lacks countermagic, stack protection, and fast tutors, making its overall game plan methodical, fair, and dependent on opponents controlling viable attackers.
