Commander: Kodama of the East Tree and Tymna the Weaver

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Abzan partner deck pairs Tymna's combat draw with Kodama's free permanent chains. The primary plan is to deploy one-mana dorks, use Tymna to draw into a dense creature-tutor package, and assemble the Preston, the Vanisher + Felidar Guardian blink loop for infinite Illusion tokens. Kodama is the secondary value engine, dumping extra permanents from hand, while hate bears like Archon of Emeria, Rule of Law, and Drana and Linvala slow opponents. Mornsong Aria acts as the deck's hidden commander: a repeatable tutor that turns every draw step into a search, and Maralen of the Mornsong offers a second copy of that lock. Without either commander the deck still functions through Pod, Chord, and Birthing Ritual, but Tymna and Kodama materially improve its reach.
