Format: Commander

Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Serpent Society is a Golgari deathtouch-and-poison control deck. Its primary plan is to land Fynn, the Fangbearer and a critical mass of deathtouch creatures, then attack to spread 2 poison per hit while Toxic 1-2 creatures seed poison counters. The commander is the board-control piece: whenever another deathtouch creature dies it forces each opponent to sacrifice a nontoken creature, clearing blockers and discouraging attacks. Secondary wins come from Hooded Blightfang and Blood Artist-style drain, proliferate effects, and Vraska, Betrayal's Sting's ultimate. The deck has no infinite combo; it grinds advantage through Cauldron of Essence, Body Launderer, and Moldervine Reclamation. There is no hidden commander; the double-faced Garruk is a utility tutor/token engine.
