Deck overview

This deck is a competitive mono-black turbo combo list centered on K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. K'rrik turns your life total into pure mana velocity by replacing every black mana symbol with 2 life. The deck leverages explosive fast mana artifacts and low-cost rituals to deploy K'rrik as early as turn 1 or 2. Once on the board, K'rrik accelerates powerful draw engines like Peer into the Abyss and Vilis, Broker of Blood, or reanimation lines utilizing Hoarding Broodlord, Razaketh, the Foulblooded, and Buried Alive. The primary finish executes a same-turn lethal drain loop using Chainer, Dementia Master and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. While the deck features unmatched speed and deep tutoring redundancy, it is inherently weak to stack-based countermagic, stax pieces that limit casting, and well-timed creature removal targeting K'rrik during life payments.
