Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Minthara, Merciless Soul and executes an aggressive aristocrats-and-blink hybrid strategy centered on experience counters. By regularly triggering permanents leaving the battlefield through sacrifice outlets, fetchlands, and flicker effects, Minthara builds an irreversible counter count that grants a massive static power buff to the entire board. Proliferate engines like Metastatic Evangel, Lae'zel, Vlaakith's Champion, and Sword of Truth and Justice rapidly escalate this count. The deck converts amplified power into card advantage with Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar and Disciple of Bolas, while swarming the board with tokens from Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Bitterblossom, and Jacked Rabbit. Because experience counters remain permanently on the player, the deck recovers swiftly from board wipes, presenting sustained combat lethality that overwhelms opponents across the mid-game.
