Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Boros Voltron strategy commanded by Lightning, Army of One. The primary game plan focuses on deploying Lightning on Turn 3, attaching high-impact Equipment on Turn 4, and attacking to trigger her Stagger ability. Stagger doubles all damage dealt to that opponent until your next turn, turning modest power buffs into lethal commander damage in short order. The deck leverages efficient equipment tutors like Cloud, Midgar Mercenary and Fighter Class to fetch situational tools, while cost reducers like Puresteel Paladin and Bruenor Battlehammer bypass hefty equip costs. To close out games against multiple opponents, the list incorporates extra combat engines such as Hexplate Wallbreaker, Genji Glove, and an infinite combat loop with Aggravated Assault and Sword of Feast and Famine, alongside table-wide damage scaling from Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. While susceptible to mass artifact removal and sacrifice effects, the deck maintains rapid recovery and resilient protection packages.
