Commander: Animar, Soul of Elements

Deck overview

This is a creature-heavy Temur deck built around Animar, Soul of Elements as a cost-reduction engine and combo enabler. The primary plan is to deploy mana dorks early, then cast Animar to discount creature spells. Once Animar has a few +1/+1 counters, the deck can chain low-cost creatures to generate value, draw cards, and eventually assemble one of several infinite loops: Shrieking Drake + Animar + Purphoros, God of the Forge for infinite damage, or Deadeye Navigator paired with Palinchron/Great Whale/Peregrine Drake for infinite mana. The deck also pressures opponents with big dragons like Old Gnawbone and Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient, using combat damage to generate treasure or extra mana. It forgoes instants, sorceries, and traditional tutors, relying instead on a dense suite of creature-based draw engines (Beast Whisperer, Consecrated Sphinx, Soul of the Harvest) to find its pieces.
