[cEDH Primer] Y'shtola Midrange/Control cEDH [Burn/Draw Loop & Tempo Brew] by dannytime59

Format: Commander

Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed leads an Esper cEDH-flavored control/combo deck that aims to win through a Thassa's Oracle line: exile the entire library with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, then cast Oracle for an immediate win. Y'shtola is not herself a combo piece, but she is a strong value engine - her end-step draw trigger rewards the incidental drain from Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Orcish Bowmasters, Kambal, Consul of Allocation, and Bloodchief Ascension, while her cast trigger pings all opponents for 2 on 3+ CMC noncreature spells. The deck wraps the combo in hatebears like Drannith Magistrate, Grand Abolisher, and Opposition Agent, backed by a near-full suite of free interaction and a Bolas's Citadel/Sensei's Divining Top alternative line. The low-curve, fast-mana fetch-dual manabase gives the deck a genuine turbo-combo top end while retaining the disruption density to win through other decks' answers.
