Deck overview

This Sultai deck is a dedicated Big Mana and Hydra tribal strategy built around Zaxara, the Exemplary. The game plan focuses on establishing early ramp through cost reducers, mana dorks, and artifacts, then casting Zaxara to turn every subsequent {X} spell into both a massive spell effect and a scaling Hydra creature token. The deck leverages powerful mana multipliers such as Elementalist's Palette, Nexos, and Selvala, Heart of the Wilds to generate enormous mana reserves. It converts this mana into massive card advantage with spells like Pull from Tomorrow and Hydroid Krasis, and board-dominating threats like Primordial Hydra and Kalonian Hydra. Victory is achieved either by overrunning opponents with evasive, trampling Hydra tokens supported by Herald of Secret Streams and Garruk's Uprising, or by resolving table-wide lethal finishers such as Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, or a fully kicked Finale of Devastation.
