Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black discard control and rack attrition strategy commanded by Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal. It aims to strip opposing hands through dense symmetric and asymmetric discard spells, converting opponent card loss into flying Bat tokens, card draw, and heavy life drain. Once opponents are empty-handed, lock pieces like Oppression and punisher enchantments such as Liliana's Caress, Painful Quandary, and Court of Ambition bleed the table dry while Aclazotz provides aerial combat pressure and built-in resilience by returning as a land upon death. The deck excels at resource denial and grindy attrition, though its lack of instant stack protection and noncreature permanent removal leaves it vulnerable to fast combo decks and resolved artifact/enchantment engines.
