Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain kindred midrange strategy commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The game plan revolves around casting cost-effective Villain creatures in the opening turns, deploying Doctor Doom on Turn 4, and utilizing his combat trigger to grant menace and connive to your attackers. Discarding land cards steadily drains the table for 2 life at a time, while nonland cards buff your board with +1/+1 counters. Synergistic payoffs like Roaming Throne, Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, Ultron, Unlimited, and The Squadron Sinister accelerate board growth and token creation. The deck maintains steady hand quality through connive looting and card advantage permanents while disrupting opponents with versatile spot removal and efficient sweepers like Toxic Deluge and Kindred Dominance. Without infinite combos, it closes out games around Turn 7 through overwhelming, evasive combat damage and incremental burn.
