Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai graveyard-centric midrange engine helmed by Muldrotha, the Gravetide. The game plan revolves around rapidly stocking the graveyard using efficient enablers like Hermit Druid, Stitcher's Supplier, Mesmeric Orb, and Life from the Loam. Once populated, the graveyard serves as a virtual hand, allowing Muldrotha to cast multiple permanent types every turn. Redundant recursion pieces such as Six, The Gitrog Monster, and Ramunap Excavator sustain mana and card velocity if the commander is removed. Meanwhile, Ashiok, Dream Render and Dauthi Voidwalker provide asymmetric disruption against opposing strategies. The deck transitions into a lethal threat on Turn 6 by resolving Rise of the Dark Realms or chaining mass self-mill with Syr Konrad, the Grim. Evasion enablers Wonder, Brawn, and Filth ensure that massive reanimated creatures like Lord of Extinction easily bypass blockers to close the game on Turn 7.
