Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Grixis spellslinger strategy led by Fire Lord Azula, turning combat into an explosive storm engine. By attacking with Azula, the deck generates {R}{R} through Firebending and copies every spell cast while she is attacking. The list leverages low-cost mana rocks and cost reducers to deploy Azula early with haste and protection equipment. Once Azula attacks, copied instants, rituals, and card-draw spells trigger powerful magecraft engines like Archmage Emeritus, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Vivi Ornitier. The deck can win in a single combat turn through mass copied burn and storm damage, or execute a compact infinite combo using Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame to generate infinite hasty tokens. Backed by cheap counterspells and free redirection effects, the deck combines proactive speed with robust defensive interaction.
