Deck overview

This deck is a classic Simic Stompy midrange strategy that leverages large, efficient creatures to fuel explosive card-draw spells, headlined by Prime Speaker Zegana. The early turns focus on ramping into formidable 5-to-7 power threats like Elder Gargaroth, Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, and Carnage Tyrant. Once a massive creature is on the battlefield, casting Zegana draws 6 to 8 cards in a single burst, replenishing your hand and allowing you to overwhelm opponents with consecutive waves of giant beaters. The deck converts this resource advantage into victory through combat damage, utilizing trample and haste enablers such as Garruk's Uprising, Surrak and Goreclaw, Brawn, and Thunderfoot Baloth. A deep suite of board protection spells ensures your board survives opposing sweepers, while power-scaled draw redundancy keeps the pressure relentless even if the commander is removed.
