Deck overview

This Grixis deck is helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, combining Villain tribal synergies with a dedicated discard and connive engine. The early game focuses on establishing mana development through signets and talismans while fielding value-generating Villains such as Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord and Leader, Super-Genius. Doctor Doom enters on Turn 4, providing continuous card selection, counter distribution, and incidental life drain whenever land cards are discarded. The deck's midgame controls opposing creature development with asymmetric suppression from Archfiend of Ifnir and Toxic Deluge while sculpting a full graveyard. The primary win condition centers on resolving Peer into the Abyss on Turn 6 to draw a massive card surplus, transitioning into Skirge Familiar for mana generation and converting discarded lands into lethal table-wide damage via Seismic Assault, Magmakin Artillerist, and Doctor Doom. Even without the commander, independent discard burn lines maintain robust inevitability.
