Kratos Aggro Voltron by JDizzleDante

Format: Commander

Commander: Kratos, God of War

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-red aggressive deck is helmed by Kratos, God of War, who grants all creatures haste and punishes opponents for failing to attack by dealing damage equal to the number of creatures they control that did *not* attack. The deck's primary plan is to chain multiple combat phases each turn, using a dense package of 11 extra-combat cards (Hellkite Charger, Aggravated Assault, World at War, Godo, Bandit Warlord + Helm of the Host, etc.) to overwhelm opponents with repeated attacks. A goad subtheme (Agitator Ant, Grenzo, Havoc Raiser, Vengeful Ancestor) forces opponents' creatures to attack elsewhere, clearing the way for Kratos and his equipment. The commander's haste enabler is critical for deploying creatures that can attack immediately. Wins come from infinite combat loops (Godo+Helm, Aggravated Assault+Neheb, the Eternal) or from a single massive turn with multiple combat steps fueled by rituals like Seething Song and Rite of Flame.
