Y'shtola, Night's Blessed is an Esper drain-control deck built around noncreature spells. You keep the table pinned with counters, removal, and tax effects while Y'shtola converts each 3+ mana noncreature spell into 2 damage and lifegain, and her end-step draw rewards a 4-life swing. The primary finish is Exquisite Blood plus Sanguine Bond, which the commander's trigger can start as soon as the second piece resolves. Secondary paths use Irenicus's Vile Duplication and Quantum Misalignment to copy Y'shtola for multiplied pings, an Exsanguinate for direct drain, or Jin-Gitaxias's final chapter to chain spells for free. There is no hidden commander; Emet-Selch and Jin act as backup engines.
