Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Rakdos stompy deck designed to abuse Rakdos, Lord of Riots as an explosive mana engine. The primary game plan begins with low-cost life-loss enablers like Creeping Bloodsucker, Stormfist Crusader, or burn spells to satisfy Rakdos's casting requirement on Turn 4. Once Rakdos attacks on Turn 5, the resulting life loss generates massive generic mana discounts that let you flood the board with devastating Demons and Eldrazi such as Void Winnower, Archfiend of Despair, and Archon of Cruelty. These threats lock down opposing boards through asymmetric stax and forced sacrifices while dealing exponential combat damage. With damage doublers like Archfiend of Despair and Wound Reflection, the deck converts its combat swings into full table eliminations by Turn 7. While vulnerable to early targeted removal on its commander, the deck possesses immense closing speed once its engine connects.
