Deck overview

This deck is an Exhibition-tier Mono-Black Aristocrats aggro build constructed under an extreme self-imposed constraint: every nonland card in the 99 costs exactly 1 mana. Commanded by Ashnod, Flesh Mechanist, the deck utilizes a dense package of 1-drop creatures and recursive fodder such as Gravecrawler and Forsaken Miner. Ashnod attacks early to convert expendable creatures into tapped Powerstone tokens. These Powerstones fund activated abilities, enabling Ashnod's five-mana ability to exile cards from the graveyard for 3/3 Zombie tokens while powering sinks like Evolved Sleeper and Tarrian's Soulcleaver. The ultra-low curve provides seamless Turn 2 assembly and reliable early-game sequencing. However, because damage is delivered through incremental ground combat without infinite loops, fast evasive overruns, or instant-speed interaction, the lethal clock is prolonged to Turn 8+ across 4+ response cycles.
