Deck overview

This Grixis deck is built around Sauron, the Dark Lord, leveraging the "Ring tempts you" mechanic as a repeatable card-advantage engine. The primary game plan is to control the early board with cheap interaction, accelerate with mana rocks and rituals, then deploy Sauron to fuel massive card draw while amassing a growing Orc Army. The deck supports both a combat-oriented win (huge Army + The Great Goblin pings) and an infinite-death combo via Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Yawgmoth, Thran Physician + a non-Human creature (e.g. Warren Soultrader) + a payoff like Blood Artist or The Great Goblin. Reanimation spells and graveyard-to-hand effects (Entomb, Buried Alive, Reanimate) provide robust redundancy. The Ring-tempt synergies (7 Nazgul, Call of the Ring, In the Darkness Bind Them) create a persistent, incremental advantage that pressures the table even if the combo is not assembled.
