Deck overview

This deck is a combat-centric Boros aggro and midrange list led by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning functions as a low-cost, high-impact threat that applies early pressure with first strike, trample, and lifelink while imposing the Stagger debuff. Stagger doubles all damage dealt to a struck player or their permanents until your next turn, turning ordinary attacks, burn effects, and opposing combat into lethal strikes. The deck supports this aggressive curve with heavy combat amplifiers like Aurelia, the Warleader, Karlach, Fury of Avernus, and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, alongside Sword equipment and punitive enchantments like Manabarbs and Price of Glory. While the deck possesses strong board wipes and removal to control opposing fields, its velocity is governed by traditional mana curves and moderate card draw, making sequencing and combat selection critical to closing out games.
