Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Midrange strategy built around Sauron, the Dark Lord. It leverages Sauron's passive abilities to amass large Orc Armies whenever opponents cast spells, punishing table activity. When an Army deals combat damage, the Ring tempts the player, allowing them to discard their hand and draw four fresh cards each turn. The deck supports this aggressive card engine with efficient removal, sweepers like Toxic Deluge and Blasphemous Act, and evasion tools like The Black Gate and Rogue's Passage. Backed by powerful top-end threats such as Lord of the Nazgûl, Cavern-Hoard Dragon, and Scourge of the Throne, the deck grinds down opposing life totals while maintaining full hand sizes and strong board presence.
