Thorin, Mountain-king by user8644413

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin, Mountain-king

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-red deck is a high-endurance Equipment Voltron strategy piloted by Thorin, Mountain-king. The plan is to deploy a dense suite of equipment, then cast Thorin to use his ETB to attach multiple pieces to a single creature in one shot, turning that creature into an immediate threat. The deck leans heavily on combat inevitability rather than infinite combos, with extra combat from Genji Glove and massive power boosts from Colossus Hammer and Aettir and Priwen. A secondary control layer comes from mass land-destruction spells like Destructive Force and Wildfire, which punish opponents once the pilot's own board is established. The deck also includes a small "damage redirection" package with Pariah's Shield and indestructible creatures (Brash Taunter, Darksteel Myr) that can burn the table. While the commander provides a powerful flash attach, the deck can function without him; other creatures like Brash Taunter or even a Vibranium token can carry equipment.
