Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Astarion, the Decadent and centers on weaponizing life totals through lifegain, life loss doubling, and infinite drain combos. The early turns focus on developing mana with rocks and establishing card advantage engines like Black Market Connections and Welcoming Vampire. In the mid-game, the deck applies incremental pressure through Vampire synergies, drain triggers from Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant, and powerful asymmetric spells such as Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Revival // Revenge. The primary win condition revolves around pairing Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or Marauding Blight-Priest to instantly drain all opponents to zero. Supported by flexible single-target removal like Anguished Unmaking and sweeping board resets like Damn and Blood Money, the deck maintains strong control over the battlefield while threatening instant-speed combo finishes.
