Token's Going Postal by Skruball87

Format: Commander

Commander: Massimo, the Magician

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai spellslinger-aggro hybrid helmed by Massimo, the Magician. The primary game plan is to fill the graveyard with cheap 1-mana instants and sorceries, then deploy evasive creatures (unblockable, flying, horsemanship) to attack and trigger Massimo's ability - exiling a spell from the graveyard and copying it on combat damage. The deck generates a wide board of token creatures through Talrand, Sky Summoner, Monastery Mentor, Kykar, Wind's Fury and similar engines, then uses extra combat spells (Combat Celebrant, Great Train Heist) to chain multiple attacks, copying spells like Lightning Bolt or Pongify for value and finishing with a massive Akroma's Will or Boltwave. The commander is a value engine that accelerates the copying plan, but the deck can still function through its token makers and unblockable effects even if Massimo is removed.
