Snake by Nerodite

Format: Commander

Commander: Xyris, the Writhing Storm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Xyris, the Writhing Storm leads a high-velocity wheel strategy that turns symmetrical draw spells into an overwhelming army of Snake tokens. The primary game plan accelerates mana to cast Xyris early, then resolves mass draw spells like Windfall, Wheel of Fortune, and Teferi's Puzzle Box to generate dozens of tokens while disrupting opposing hands. The deck converts these tokens into immediate victories through overrun effects like Triumph of the Hordes and Coat of Arms, or indirect damage triggers from Impact Tremors and Psychosis Crawler. Secondary lines exploit infinite draw loops using Mind Over Matter alongside Temple Bell or Jace's Archivist to win via laboratory effects or direct burn.
