Deck overview

This Jund deck is led by the partner pairing of Ellie, Brick Master and Joel, Resolute Survivor. It blends goad-driven combat control with Fungus and Saproling aristocrat strategies. Ellie creates 1/1 Cordyceps Fungus Zombie tokens whenever players attack opponents, encouraging opponents to turn their creatures against each other. Joel capitalizes on these skirmishes by growing with +1/+1 counters and drawing cards whenever creature tokens perish. The deck uses early green ramp to deploy both commanders on curve, then layers in forced combat effects like Kardur, Doomscourge and Disrupt Decorum alongside aristocrat payoffs like Mayhem Devil, Poison-Tip Archer, and Massacre Wurm. Swarms of Saprolings generated by cards like Tendershoot Dryad and Mycoloth provide disposable blockers, sacrifice fodder, and a scaling army. The game plan focuses on wearing down opposing life totals through forced attacks and death triggers, culminating in a wide lethal combat push or a catastrophic Massacre Wurm board sweep.
