Deck overview

The deck's central plan is to cast Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon, attack every turn, and grow a wide board of Gnomes while using counters, anthems, and combat payoffs to turn that board into damage. Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon gives the deck reliable access to its basic engine, and a turn-4 first attack is realistic. The list also contains strong payoffs such as Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, Iroas, God of Victory, Exalted Sunborn, and Moonshaker Cavalry. However, these payoffs are mostly singletons, and the deck has limited tutoring and only moderate acceleration. As a result, its ordinary game is a gradual board-building plan rather than a compact combo or lock. It can produce explosive turns with a favorable draw, but it does not reliably assemble a table-killing sequence. Interaction is functional, while protection and recovery depend heavily on drawing the right singleton at the right time.
