Deck overview

This is a Golgari Elf tribal midrange deck helmed by High Perfect Morcant. The core plan floods the board with Elves to trigger Morcant's blight ability (forcing -1/-1 counters onto opposing creatures) while tapping three Elves to proliferate those counters and any +1/+1 counters on your own board. Landfall payoffs, token generators, and counter doublers turn the wide Elf army into oversized threats. Primary wins come through combat damage via pumped bodies like Mossborn Hydra, Mirkwood Pathmaker, and anthem effects, supported by incidental drain from Funeral Room // Awakening Hall and Cauldron of Essence. The deck leans on dense ramp, basic-land fetch, and recursion rather than infinite combos, playing a grindy attrition-plus-combat game that steadily dismantles opposing boards while growing its own.
