Deck overview

This is a Simic midrange value deck helmed by Xolatoyac, the Smiling Flood that weaponizes flood counters, +1/+1 counters, and Island-matters payoffs. Xolatoyac, the Smiling Flood enters or attacks to flood lands into Islands and untaps every permanent you control with a counter at end step, turning flooded lands and counter-laden dorks into a pseudo-Wilderness Reclamation engine. The deck floods the board with evasive sea monsters (Stormtide Leviathan, Inkwell Leviathan, Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle, Eluge, the Shoreless Sea), multiplies +1/+1 counters via Hardened Scales and Branching Evolution, and closes through combat (often with Herald of Secret Streams unblockability) or an alternate Simic Ascendancy win. Clones, token doublers, and proliferate pieces provide redundancy, while a solid instant-speed interaction suite keeps the table honest. Primary wins are fair combat and Ascendancy; there are no infinite combo lines.
