Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Curse control strategy helmed by Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor. It combines political attrition, defensive stax, and compounding upkeep damage. The primary game plan revolves around deploying Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor to cycle Curses between yourself and opponents, generating steady card advantage while assembling an oppressive suite of Auras. The deck accelerates this clock using Curse of Misfortunes, which systematically tutors win conditions like Curse of Bloodletting, Curse of Thirst, and Cruel Reality onto key threats. Additional upkeep multipliers such as Paradox Haze, Sphinx of the Second Sun, and Obeka, Splitter of Seconds amplify these triggers into overwhelming per-turn life loss. To survive against aggressive pods, the deck runs layered combat taxes including Propaganda, Crawlspace, and Silent Arbiter, backed by an elite interactive suite featuring Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Toxic Deluge. While slow to eliminate an entire table simultaneously, its compounding inevitability is formidable.
