Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and cost-cheating strategy commanded by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary game plan revolves around manipulating the top card of the library using tools like Sensei's Divining Top, Scroll Rack, Brainstorm, and Doom Whisperer. Once Yennett attacks, she casts high-impact odd-mana-value spells for free, bypassing their steep casting costs. Payoffs range from asymmetric floodgates like Void Winnower and creature suppression from Toxrill, the Corrosive to mass reanimation via Breach the Multiverse and Rise of the Dark Realms. The deck supports this game plan with efficient removal, free commander protection spells, and backup combat cheat enablers like Marvo, Deep Operative. It steadily converts top-deck card quality into massive mana tempo, overwhelming opponents through combat and devastating spell effects by Turns 6 and 7.
