Deck overview

This mono-red deck is built around Clive, Ifrit's Dominant, combining red devotion mechanics with explosive discard synergies. During the early game, the deck establishes mana ramp, red mana pips, and discard payoffs like Glint-Horn Buccaneer and Magmakin Artillerist. On Turn 5, casting Clive discards the pilot's hand and draws cards equal to red devotion, refilling the hand with 5 to 7 fresh spells while triggering widespread burn across all opponents. In the mid-game, the deck capitalizes on this massive card influx by resolving damage multipliers like Torbran, Thane of Red Fell and Fiery Emancipation, or copying devotion payoffs like Fanatic of Mogis with Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink. While the deck possesses explosive burst potential and potent spell redirection, it relies on sorcery-speed execution and lacks answers to mass non-damage board wipes and resolved enchantments.
