Deck overview

This deck is a Selesnya lifegain midrange strategy led by Shalai, Voice of Plenty. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost mana dorks and soul sister effects like Soul Warden and Authority of the Consuls in the early turns, establishing continuous lifegain triggers. On Turn 4, Shalai, Voice of Plenty enters to provide blanket hexproof to the player and supporting creatures. In the midgame, the deck capitalizes on scaling payoffs such as Archangel of Thune, Nykthos Paragon, and Ghalta and Mavren to turn life gain into massive +1/+1 counter distributions across a wide board. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through overwhelming combat damage or alternate finishes like Aetherflux Reservoir and Soul of Eternity. While strong at protecting its board from spot removal, it remains vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and relies on natural draws due to light tutor density.
