Deck overview

This deck leverages Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign to cheat massive, odd-cost spells directly onto the battlefield without paying their mana costs. The early game focuses on deploying mana rocks and establishing top-deck control through tools like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, and Ponder. Once Yennett attacks on turn 5, she triggers free casts of format-warping bombs such as Void Winnower, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and In Garruk's Wake. A supporting Esper control shell provides flexible removal, countermagic, and asymmetric stax pieces to keep opponents off balance. Winning lines close the game through heavy combat damage, assisted by Magister Sphinx reducing opponent life totals directly to 10. While reliant on combat steps and commander survival, the deck generates overwhelming board states once its top-deck engine starts running.
