This Azorius control deck uses Hope Estheim to convert lifegain into symmetric mill pressure. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost lifegain permanents such as Soul Warden, Aunt May, and Daxos, Blessed by the Sun, which trigger Hope's end-step ability to repeatedly mill each opponent. Rather than relying on infinite combos, the deck controls the board with sweepers like Supreme Verdict and Austere Command, while utilizing spot removal like Swords to Plowshares and Generous Gift to eliminate threats. In the mid-to-late game, lifegain doublers such as Doctor Strange, Surgeon and The Wind Crystal, alongside massive lifegain spells like Congregate and Sanguine Sacrament, accelerate the mill clock.
