Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue midrange value engine commanded by Proft, Consulting Detective. It focuses on turning scry and surveil effects into sustained card advantage and creature growth. Leveraging efficient selection cantrips like Opt, Preordain, and Curate, the deck smooths early land drops and consistently activates Proft's ability to build hand size and board presence. While early turns establish incremental advantages through token generators such as Murmuring Mystic and Detective of the Month, the deck closes games via late-game scaling win conditions, notably Psychosis Crawler, Twenty-Toed Toad, and Triskaidekaphile. The deck features dependable reactive interaction in the form of countermagic and bounce spells, but lacks proactive locks and fast mana, meaning it thrives best in drawn-out, interactive games where its card flow can outlast opposing resources.
