Deck overview

This deck executes a Rakdos 'bad gifts' and group slug strategy led by Blim, Comedic Genius. The primary game plan revolves around deploying debilitating permanents such as Demonic Pact, Aggressive Mining, and Jinxed Idol, then using Blim's combat damage trigger to donate them to opponents. Once opponents control permanents they do not own, Blim forces ongoing life loss and hand discard while the harmful cards strangle their resources. Complementing this plan is a suite of self-donating, goaded creatures like Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos, Slicer, Hired Muscle, and Xantcha, Sleeper Agent, which pass around the table to deal severe combat damage. Spot removal keeps major opposing threats in check, while Kardur, Doomscourge and Pestilence control wide boards. The deck closes games through cumulative slug triggers, combat attrition, or an infinite damage loop between Blazing Sunsteel and Brash Taunter.
