Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Blue Spellslinger Control strategy led by Talrand, Sky Summoner. The primary game plan focuses on controlling the early and mid-game with efficient instant-speed counterspells, bounce spells, and cheap cantrips. Once Talrand or an alternate token generator such as Murmuring Mystic or Poppet Stitcher // Poppet Factory enters the battlefield on Turn 4, every reactive play generates 2/2 flying Drake tokens. The deck turns defensive interaction into an evasive aerial clock, which rapidly overwhelms opponents around Turn 6 and Turn 7 using mass bounce from Cyclonic Rift or the massive stat boost of Candlekeep Inspiration.
