Deck overview

This deck is a Boros midrange strategy commanded by Archangel Avacyn. The main plan combines damage-reflection creatures, self-sacrificing utility creatures, and flicker spells to turn Avacyn's transformation into a one-sided board wipe and burn engine. In the early turns, the deck deploys defensive 1-drops and damage-redirecting creatures like Boros Reckoner and Brash Taunter. On Turn 5, it flashes in Avacyn to grant the team indestructible, then sacrifices a non-Angel creature to trigger her transformation into Avacyn, the Purifier on Turn 6 upkeep. The resulting 3-damage blast wipes small opposing creatures, triggers friendly enrage abilities, and redirects damage to opponents. The deck finishes games across Turns 6 through 9 using flying combat damage, flicker triggers, and high-damage sweepers like Blasphemous Act. While the deck possesses efficient single-target removal and low-cost creature protection, its low ramp count and lack of card draw make it reliant on natural top-decks.
