Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Gruul aristocrats and token swarm deck commanded by Gut, True Soul Zealot paired with Cloakwood Hermit. The strategy focuses on curving early mana dorks and self-sacrificing fodder into a Turn 3 Gut, converting low-impact permanents into attacking 4/1 menace Skeleton tokens while Hermit generates Squirrels on the end step. The deck compounds this board advantage through passive burn engines like Impact Tremors, Agate Instigator, and General Kreat, the Boltbringer, or finishes through combat with Beastmaster Ascension. Backup token generators such as Krenko, Mob Boss and The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl ensure resilience against targeted commander removal. While weak to heavy creature sweepers and lacking stack interaction, the deck presents consistent Turn 5-6 lethal pressure.
