Format: Commander

Commander: Aragorn, King of Gondor

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Aragorn, King of Gondor fronts a Jeskai control-combo deck. The main plan is to become the monarch, leverage Aragorn's unblockable attacks, and use counterspells, bounce, and removal to stall while assembling a compact win. The cleanest kill is Thought Lash plus Thassa's Oracle, with Approach of the Second Sun and Niv-Mizzet/Curiosity as backup engines. Aang, Swift Savior serves as a flexible flash answer whose back face becomes a 5/5 beater. Despite the commander's combat text, this is less an aggro monarch build than a value/combo shell that uses Aragorn's draw and evasion to find and protect its win conditions.
