Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Lifegain Midrange strategy commanded by Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. It leverages Oloro's passive eminence ability to guarantee life gain every upkeep without needing to cast the commander. The deck converts this steady life flow into board presence and attrition through three primary avenues: accumulating +1/+1 counters with creatures like Ajani's Pridemate and Archangel of Thune, draining opponent life totals through Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Enduring Tenacity, and maintaining card flow with Well of Lost Dreams and Exemplar of Light. Interaction is lean and effective, utilizing efficient removal like Swords to Plowshares and Toxic Deluge alongside counterspells. The deck plays a patient, compounding game that steadily outlasts opponents before closing through overwhelming evasive combat damage and life-drain triggers.
