Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Bant combat strategy built around Arcades, the Strategist. The game plan deploys high-toughness, low-cost creatures with defender during the early turns, establishing a resilient defensive wall while developing mana. Once Arcades enters the battlefield on Turn 4, every defender becomes both an efficient combat threat that assigns damage using its toughness and an immediate card-draw cantrip. This rapid card replenishment fuels wide board development, allowing the deck to apply lethal pressure by Turn 5. The deck breaks parity through asymmetric board wipes like Slaughter the Strong and Fell the Mighty, which eliminate opponents' high-power creatures while leaving your defenders intact.
