Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck helmed by Vivi Ornitier is a high-tide combo engine that leverages cheap instants and sorceries to generate explosive mana, copy spells, and assemble multiple overlapping win conditions. The commander's ability to produce mana proportional to its power (ramping via noncreature spells) and its incidental damage output provide a flexible value engine, but the deck's true power lies in the 99: a dense web of two-card infinites, storm lines, and draw-based alt-win conditions. Key combos include Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal with mana rocks, Underworld Breach + Brain Freeze for self-mill, and Niv-Mizzet, Parun + Curiosity/Ophidian Eye. The deck can pivot to a Thassa's Oracle or Laboratory Maniac finish after drawing its library, and the suite of copy spells (Reverberate, Twincast, Dualcaster Mage) turns every interaction into a potential blowout. It is a fast, resilient combo-control deck that rarely needs to cast its commander to win.
