Commander: Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Rakdos Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls plays a burn-style group-draw engine: global punishments such as Stormfist Crusader, Manabarbs, and Spiteful Visions make every opponent lose life repeatedly, and each opponent's first life loss of a turn turns Valgavoth into a huge card-draw engine. The deck then closes by running a wheel or Descent into Avernus through damage multipliers like Furnace of Rath, Twinflame Tyrant, and Fiery Emancipation. There is no double-faced commander and no hidden commander; Ojer Axonil is a high-value amplifier and MDFC in the 99. A secondary path is Price of Progress plus the same multipliers. The deck is a symmetrical-punishment strategy rather than a compact combo.
