Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Mono-Green Treefolk Kindred strategy led by Fangorn, Tree Shepherd. It accelerates its mana base in the early turns using efficient land-search spells and cost reducers like Bosk Banneret and Emerald Medallion. In the mid-game, it establishes high-toughness Treefolk that scale directly with the number of Forests controlled, such as Dungrove Elder, Dauntless Dourbark, and Kalonian Twingrove. Once Fangorn, Tree Shepherd resolves, it provides universal vigilance to all Treefolk and generates massive amounts of persistent green mana whenever they attack. This unspent mana funds overwhelming second-main plays, massive kicker costs like Verdeloth the Ancient, and burst draw spells like Rishkar's Expertise. The deck wins through crushing combat damage powered by Unnatural Growth, Garruk's Uprising, and Assault Formation, closing out games over two combat rotations while relying on high permanent resilience and graveyard recursion to withstand disruption.
